Vietnam Plan Not Favoured
A proposal by the North Canterbury Hospital Board that a complete surgical team be sent to Vietnam from one board for a three-month tour of duty is not favoured by the Health Department. Members at yesterday’s meeting were told the department had written saying no difficulty had been encountered in recruiting a team under the present arrangement, and it was reluctant to shorten the length of service.
