(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON The former New Zealand batsman, P. T. Barton, scored a fine 61 to save Wellington from ignominy in the twoday representative cnckct match against Hutt Valley, at the Basin Reserve yesterday.
Wellington at one stage was six for the loss of three wickets.
Assisted by R. E. Redmond, 36, Barton allowed D. O. Neely to declare at 146 for eight At stumps, Hutt Valley was 17 for one.
