Help For Chilean Power Project

The Government has agreed to take part in a United Nations’ project for the development of geothermal power in Chile.
The purpose of the project is to explore geothermal resources in the Antopagasto and Tarapaca provinces of Northern Chile.
Mr I. A. Innis, of the Ministry of Works, will arrange the project. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said New Zealand had agreed to supply New Zealand experts to work on the project and to provide advisory and specialist services from New Zealand.
