TEMPORARY JUDGE
Mr G. Speight Appointed (N.Z. Preu Auoctationf WELLINGTON, Nov. 21. The Crown Prosecutor at Auckland, Mr G. D. Speight, had been appointed a temporary Judge of the Supreme Court. The appointment will take effect from early in the new year. Mr Speight, who was educated at Auckland Grammar School and Auckland University’. joined the staff of the Crown Solicitor in Auckland in 1946 after serving overseas in the Second World War. He succeeded Mr G. S. R. Meredith as Crown Prosecutor in 1960.
