BRITISH CAR WORKERS
Many May Be Unemployed (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, November 21. Thousands of British car industry employees will be out of work at Christmas unless production can be fully resumed at the British Motor Corporation’s 22 plants. B.M.C. officials are considering ways of keeping production going after the breakdown on Friday of negotiations on the strike of car delivery drivers. About 8000 cars bought and paid for by dealers are at present stockpiled in car parks awaiting delivery. Agents fear that if the strike is not settled soon sales will be lost to competitors selling other makes.
