Roll Of Honour Awards
Twelve Form II pupils from Christchurch schools were awarded the Rotary Roll of Honour at a meeting of the Cl.ristchurch Rotary Club yesterday.
The prerequisites for the roll were character, neatness, industry and leadership, said Mr T. E. Davies, the club president. The 12 boys were.—P. D. Mason (Linwood Intermediate), N. McLean Jackson (Sumner), D. McKie (Mount Pleasant), G. Ewart (Phillipstown), J. Tait (Woolston), G. Consedine (Xavier College), L. Holmes (St. Michael’s), R. D. Coles (Heathcote Valley). B. Bennett (Redcliffs), G. Hughes (Bamford), I. J. Rule (Shirley Intermediate), P. Lamb (St. Matthew’s Victory Memorial). Mr R. J. O’Kane, general secretary of the Young Men’s Christian Association and a Churchill fellow, was guest speaker.
