Paid Servant
(NZPA-Keuter) KIMBERLEY.
"The only salaried cat in South Africa” is the title claimed for Miss Kits, official mouse-catcher of the Kimberley municipality. The Kimberley Council’s public health budget includes an allowance of 40 cents a week for this 10-year-old female.
Her boss, Mr Ernest Roberts, caretaker of municipal halls, says that Miss Kits now has a sinecure. Few mice are left in the City Hall.
