Chequer Board, a big disappointment at the cup meeting, has Joined J. A. Carmichael i team at Templeton.
Chequer Board, a five-year old with a big reputation, was purchased for £lO,OOO by Mr A Carmichael, of Auckland, on the eve of the meeting. Previously Chequer Board trained by his breeder-owner D. C. Jessop, of Tangiterona North Auckland, but former!} of Aylesbury.
