Feilding Fancies Changed

"The Press" Special Service PALMERSTON NORTH. Heavy rain late this week has changed prospects for today’s races at Feilding. The track has become soft for the second day of the spring meeting and brought the top-weight, Lei, back into calculations for the St. Andrew’s Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double. Lei must be favoured to complete a double, having won the Manchester Handicap against similar opposition last Saturday. Thefe are no doubts about her fitness and Roman Consul seems the only one likely to stop her in her present form. Roman Consul came into the picture with a splendid gallop on Thursday morning. Sir Guy gets his chance in the Colyton Handicap. Accomplished on soft ground and unlucky in his two latest starts, Sir Guy could upset the favourites in the second leg of the T.A.B. double. If more rain makes the track heavy, horses like Feurig, in the first leg, and Blue Veil, in the second, will come into calculations.
