HAWKER& BY-LAW
By-law amendments to restrict the operations of hawkers and poultry-keepers were approved by the Waimairi County Council at its monthly meeting.
Hawkers will be prohibited from carrying on business within 200 yards of established shops, a figure similar to that adopted by surrounding local bodies. Fowl - houses containing more than 24 fowls must be located at least 300 ft clear of houses in residential areas. The present rule is 75ft.
