Orbiter Primed For Shots

America’s Lunar Orbiter II spacecraft was primed yesterday to shoot a bird’s-eye view photograph today of the first of 13 potential landing sites fo r Apollo astronauts. The 850-lb flying photographic laboratory was expected to sweep within 30 miles of site No. 1 in the Sea of Tranquility early on Saturday. Orbiter’s dual-lens camera —high and medium resolutions—was scheduled to take 16 frames of double exposure photographs, or a total of 32.
