No Change In Motor Races

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND.

The 2|-litre engine limit for the annual Tasman series of international motor races in New Zealand and Australia is to be retained for three more years.

The manager of the New Zealand international grand prix, Mr R. W. A. Frost, said he was delighted at the decision, reached in Melbourne at the week-end by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport.

He said New Zealand had made submissions to the Australian body in support of continuing the 2|-litre formula rather than going to the 3-litre formula one limit or the 1600 c.c. formula two.

Continuing the present Tasman formula meant the series would retain its present position as second only to the world championship grand prix events.
