THEFT OF SAFE
Seven Other Burglaries
A safe containing £220 in money and cheques was stolen from the premises of J. F. Oakley, Ltd., glass merchant, 41 Fitzgerald avenue, on Thursday night. The premises of C. W. Dale and Company, Ltd., of Ruru road, were broken into on Thursday night and £36 and heaters valued at £l4 stolen.
The Springs Road Butchery was broken into on Thursday night and goods to the value of £5 stolen. A surfboard valued at £25 was stolen from the yard of Quane Surfboards, Ltd., 99 Main road, Redcliffs, during A house in the Old Coast road, Paparua, was broken into yesterday and a razor and £25 stolen, A house in Jones road, Templeton, was broken into and £5 stolen, and £2 was stolen from a house in Grants road, Papanui. The Milky Way Milk Bar at 268 High street was broken into between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. yesterday and £l6 stolen.
