Big Carpet Order
A £35,000 contract for carpeting 14 floors of Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd.’s new 26-srtorey Challenge House, in Lambton quay, Wellington, has been awarded to Felt and Textiles (N.Z.), Ltd. The initial order, for some 11,000 sq yds, is the biggest for carpeting ever made in this country. “We’ll have more wool in this building than any other,” said Mr R. R. Trotter, a director of the company. “When completed the grand total will exceed 14,000 sq yds, and total laid cost will be £50,000.”
