Senior I St. Bede's 161/5 declared (Henry 63) beat Christ’s College 159 (Rutherford 43. Campbell 42: Murdoch 5/38, Mcßrearty 3/44) on the first innings. St. Andrew’s 98 (Trent 6/25) and 12/1 beat Shirley Boys’ High School 51 (Cochrane 3/18. Smythe 3/21) and 58 (Smythe 3/16, Cochrane 3/18) by nine wickets. Cashmere High School 113 (Grant 50; Kennedy 3/8, Caldwell 5/18) and 122/6 declared (Miller 52, Provan 30; Kennedy 5/35) beat Riccarton High School 109 (Rothwell 32; Provan 7/32) and 57/9 (Harper 4/16) on the first innings. Burnside High School 149 and 134/3 declared (Davis 63) beat Hagley High School 77 and 135 (Bos 36, Ragg 32: McKechle 4/46, Luff 3/47) outright. Senior II Boys' High School 91 (Gurney 4/18) and 144/6 (Jones 38 not out: Catherwood 4/34) beat St. Bede’s 146 (Crosbie 35) and 85/7 declared (White 36) by four wickets. Senior 111 St. Andrew’s 139/8 declared (Strachan 30 not out) beat Hagley High School 79 on the first innings. Bartlett Will Have Rest (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM. The New Zealand fast bowler, G. A. Bartlett, is to take a spell from bowling for at least a month, acting on medical advice. Bartlett Is having a recurrence of back trouble and plans to see a specialist. He has been playing club cricket this season after returning to Blenheim from Christchurch.
