100,000 IDLE
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, Nov. 4. More than 100,000 British car workers were idle or on short time today because of antiredundancy strikes and the Government’s economic freeze. By tonight the figure may reach 125,000 —a quarter of the nation’s car labour force—if more assembly lines, starved of vital components, are forced to shut down.
