Additions To Rolls

The supplementary rolls had added 15,557 to the number of people entitled to vote in the eight Christchurch electorates this month, the Acting Registrar of Electors (Mr F. G. Elsmore) said yesterday. The number now entitled to vote in the eight electorates is 147,609. Supplementary rolls for the electorates contain the following numbers: —Avon 1847; Christchurch Central 2577; Fendalton 2067; Lyttelton 1823; Riccarton 2168; St. Albans 1962; Selwyn 1227; Sydenham 1886. Since the main rolls closed on July 27, the following numbers have been purged from the rolls:—Avon 397; Christchurch Central 628; Fendalton 280; Lyttelton 229; Riccarton 327; SL Albans 456; Selwyn 240; Sydenham 342. The following are the totals now on the main and supplementary rolls: Avon 18,671; Christchurch Central 17,115.
