The average price paid for wool at the second Christchurch sale of the season this month was 43.612 d per lb., which was 1.265 d per lb. lower than at the corresponding sale last year. The price per bale was £5B 10s sd. A year ago this was £6O 7s 6d. At the sale on October 10 (22.176 bales and a net weight of 7,141.782 lb of wool were; sold. The gross value of this! wool was £1.297,779 17s Id. | Last October when 22,148' bales and 7,151,166 lb of wool I were sold the total proceeds; amounted to £1,337,191 9s 3d.
