Gown Of Year Prize
The Christchurch branch of the Ryder-Cheshire Foundation will hold a fashion parade and a competition among dress designers for the gown of the year in February. The branch had raised more than £2OO from a sweepstake, Mr I. McW. Harkness, the secretary, told a committee meeting. He said that £l5 10s lljd had been sent to the foundation from the R.N.Z.A.F. base, Wigram. A cheque from the officers’ mess was expected to be sent separately.
