Non-smokers On Increase
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, Oct. 20. The ranks of non-smokers in Britain swelled by one million last year, a Health Ministry survey indicates. The Ministry commented yesterday that this trend “especially among teen-agers” emerged while it was mounting an education campaign, warning of the link between cigarette smoking and cancer. For four years local councils have publicised the dangers of smoking and the Government has restricted cigarette advertising.
