Spry Easily Wins Greymouth Event

Spry, the favourite, won the President’s Handicap, main event and first leg of the T.A.B. double, on the first night of the Greymouth Trotting Club’s spring meeting last night. Spry beat Option by a length and a half, with Jennesse three lengths away, third. Richard Hanover, also the favourite, won the second leg, the Raceway Handicap, and the double paid £ll 12s for £l. The on-course double, Bramlock and Oman, paid £2B 3s. The weather was fine but cloudy and there was a large attendance. The track was firm.
