Beer Tanker Over Bank
(N.Z. Press Association* WANGANUI, Oct. 10. The driver of an empty beer tanker escaped serious injury when his vehicle plunged over a 40ft bank a half-mile north of the Mangaweka township, on the Mar-ton-Taihape highway, about 11.55 a.m. today. He is David Edward Dalby, of Palmerston North, who was admitted to the Taihape Hospital, suffering from fractured ribs and lacerations to the head. His condition tonight was satisfactory. Two trees prevented the tanker from dropping another 30ft.
