BIG NAVAL EXERCISE

A.Z. (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright* CANBERRA. Oct. 10. New Zealand’s new frigate H.M.N.Z.S. Taranaki will be among ships from four navies which will gather off the Australian coast this month for the biggest naval exercise in Australian waters ' since the end of the Second ’World I War. There will be 24 Australian, British, United States and New Zealand surface ships and an undisclosed number of British and United States submarines.

| Aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force, the Royal Air Force and the U.S. Navy will also take part in the exercise.
