Stowaway Fined £l0
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Oct. 10. After five days at sea in the Northern Star heading for Britain, a stowaway, David Ernest Edwards, a 26-year-old Londoner, thought it was safe to surrender himself, the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland, was told today. But when the ship reached Panama, he was transferred to the Ceramic which arrived in Auckland today. Edwards was fined £lO by Mr A. A. Coates, S.M., and ordered to pay 30s costs after pleading guilty to stowing ! away.
