Royal Estate Breaks Down “The Press” Special Service DUNEDIN. Royal Estate broke down during his race in the Toorak Handicap at Caulfield on Saturday and brought to an end his campaign in Australia. The trainer, A. E. Didham, has advised the horse’s owner, Mrs H. G. McLeod, of Ranfurly, that Royal Estate will be returned to New Zealand by sea this month. Royal Estate has been dogged by bad luck since taken to Melbourne by Didham. Unsuitable tracks and a leg ailment have prevented him from showing his ability.
