Repairs After Tornado
(N.Z. Press Association ‘ AUCKLAND, Oct. 10. Remuera and One Tree Hill ■ residents were today making the best of bad fortune after the tornado which hit the areas late on Saturday afternoon. One man was busy cutting up a 30ft willow tree that had been blown across his front lawn. Others had tradesmen repairing damage to houses. Insurance claims were being lodged today. One office said it already had five claims. A State Advances Corporation spokesman said repairs to State houses were started on Sunday.
