Rifle Club Meetings
The Ashburton and Ranglora rifle shooting clubs have held their opening day matches. Gusty north-west winds prevailed on both ranges.
At Ashburton, T. Read won the trophy with an aggregate of 100 over the ranges of 300 yards and 500 yards. R. Reddicliffe was second with 98.
Rangiora fired two seven.shot matches at 300 yards. A. Tyler and I. Posa scoring, with handicap, the possible of 70. G. A. D. Tyler had top score off the rifle with 67. Results:—
