Selling N.Z. Softwood (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 19. A sizeable market existed in Australia for New Zealand softwood timber, the manag-ing-director of Associated Pulp and Paper Mills, Ltd., Melbourne, Sir Henry Somerset, said in Auckland today. Sir Henry Somerset, who is also chairman of directors of Humes, Ltd., arrived by air yesterday on a three-day visit. Forest products, including the paper industry, were among the obvious ways in which the balance of trade between New Zealand and Australia could be rectified, he said. “The Free Trade Agreement has not been operating long enough to permit any prediction of success in the immediate future.”
