ASSAILANT OF QUEEN

Escape, Then Recapture (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) DUBLIN, Sept. 19. The English chambermaid, Iris Carruthers, aged 43, who has been under medical care since hurling a brick at Queen Elizabeth’s car during the Queen’s visit to Belfast, made a brief sortie from hospital this week-end. She crossed from Armagh, Northern Ireland, after her escape from hospital there on Saturday and was recaptured a few miles on the Dublin side of the border early yesterday: When Miss Carruthers’s case was heard before a Belfast court last August a psychiatrist said she had a marked delusion that she had a mission to end royalty. “She feels that the Queen is very jealous of her and that a lot of incidents in her life are the result of persecution by royalty,” he said.
