DISCUSSION ON RACING
Invitation To Minister The executive of the Canterbury branch of the Racing Owners’ and Breeders' Association hope to arrange a meeting soon with the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake). A decision to write to the Minister inviting him to meet the association's executive for discussions on the problems of racing, particularly from a South Island angle, was made by members at a meeting last week. Taxation, as it applies to South Island racing, will be one of the principal topics for discussion.
