Intermediate Orange Lodge

About 30 members from Wellington, Hornby and Christ church Intermediate Orange Lodges gathered in Christchurch at the week-end for the fourth Intermediate Orange Lodges’ conference. The Worshipful Mistress (Sister Manson) opened the Christchurch lodge meeting. Specially-invited guests included the Grand Superintendent of junior and intermediate lodges, Wor. Bro. J. E. Robinson, from Nelson; the South Island assistant to the Grand Superintendent, Wor. Bro. W. G. Isles, from Dunedin; past grand master, Wor. Bro. W. C. James, from Rakaia, and Wor. Bro. Greenslade from Ashburton.

An impromptu debating competition for the Connie Hall Memorial Rosebowl was won by the Wellington team, Sister Prance, and Brothers Boivin.

Yesterday morning members attended the Oxford Terrace Baptist Church. The lesson was read by the Lodge Chaplain, Sister Thompson and the qualifications were given by Brother Chambers.
