MR G. B. HELEY (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 18. Mr Gilbert Borland Heley, a former general manager of the United Insurance Company, Ltd., has died in Auckland. Born in Greymouth, Mr Heley spent most of his life in Wellington. After the First World War he was a prominent sprinter, and held Wellington titles. He was a Wellington football representative, and a member of the New Zealand Army team, as well as a prominent referee. In 1948, Mr Heley became general manager of the United Insurance Company. He retired from this post in 1956.
