Prices Mainly Steady (N Z. Press Association! WELLINGTON, Sept. 16. The market information service of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board re- i ports that after a slow start \ trading on London’s Smithfield market improved as the' week progressed. Trading in ] New Zealand lamb was adversely affected by plentiful supplies of home-killed and I Irish lamb but quotations! remained mainly steady on j last week. I Quotations for the main; ■grade (29/361b) were un-| changed from last week. Increased supplies of New j Zealand hoggets and wethers] sold slowly with the main grade of hoggets (49/561b) quoted at 15Jd to 16d per lb and wethers at 15d to 15Jd per lb. New Zealand ewes were not quoted. New Zealand beef was not quoted. Price Range Quotations for New Zealand lamb were:—
