AVENGED DEFEAT

B Team Has 21-5 Win Canterbury B overwhelmed the previously unbeaten North Canterbury senior Rugby team 21-5, at the Rangiora Show Grounds on Saturday. This avenged the last season success by North Canterbury, when it i won 16-14 to complete an unbeaten record. Playing more tightly in the I forwards and taking full advan- ' tage of a following wind in the 1 first half. Canterbury B was i deep in North Canterbury terri- ■ tory for most of the spell. The North Canterbury forwards showed plenty of speed to the loose ball and some good cover defence contributed to keeping the score down to 12-6 at half-time. North Canterbury scored earlv in the second spell and later narrowly missed another chance. Canterbury consolidated its tally by adding two quick tries in the closing stages.
