/.V.Z. Press Association! MASTERTON, Sept 18. Thirty-six Wairarapa College boys broke the 26-mile world bed-pushing record by 52 minutes on Friday night. Their time of 2hr 7min 52.6 sec gave them the title from an American college team. In aid of Operation 21 the boys pushed the bare frame of a single bed, equipped with bicycle wheels and lights, from Mount Bruce Hall to Kuranui College, Greytown. A street collection, taken; through the towns of Master- ; ton. Carterton and Greytown, raised £24 for Operation 21.1 This, added to the £3O given bv the sponsors of the at- 1 tempt, lifted the college’s contribution to the appeal to £5OO.
