Serious Leg Injuries

When a motor-cycle and a car collided on the Summit road late yesterday afternoon two young men were admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Darcy William Broad was admitted to the recovery ward suffering from serious leg injuries. His condition was reported to be satisfactory late last evening. Raymond Hawkins, of 218 Barbadoes street, also suffered leg injuries.

Struck By Car.—A boy, Paul Edward Adamson, of 27 Carisbrook street, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from head injuries and shock after he was struck by a car at the corner of Portchester street and Pages road about 4.25 p.m. on Saturday. Cyclists Injured.—Two persons were injured when their cycles were struck by a car which then ran into A- pole in Harper avenue a short distance west of the Totem pole about 7.45 p.m. on Saturday. They are lan William Gebbie, aged 13, of 5 Peer street, Upper Riccarton, who was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from head injuries and shock, and John Michael Lamb, of No. 3 R.D. Ashburton, who was treated at the Christchurch Hospital for chest injuries and shock.
