The Faculty consists of the Departments of Economics, Education, Geography, and Psychology. DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER (2 positions) The Department is developing courses to the masterate level. Preference will be given to those applicants whose teaching and research interests are primarily theoretical. Current research activities are in the field of economic history and international trade. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER JUNIOR LECTURERS (2 positions) The Department offers courses leading to the masterate level in Arts and to the Diploma in Enducation. Besides appropriate qualifications and teaching experience, applicants for the senior position should be able to present evidence of active research in Educational Sociology. DEPARTMENT OF GEOGRAPHY LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER TECHNICIAN (Only In New’ Zealand) The Department offers courses in Arts and Science to the masterate level. Applications for the academic position are invited from geographers working in any research field, although preference may be given to specialists in climatology or quantitative measurement. Qualifications or an interest to train in cartography would be preferred in applicants for the position of technician (only in New Zealand). DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY JUNIOR LECTURESHIP The Department offers undergraduate courses in Arts and Science. Applications will be considered from graduates who have specialised in any area of psychology. The salary scale for a Senior Lecturer is from £2lOO x £2500; for a Lecturer from £l3OO x 100 to £2000; and for a Junior Lecturer from £lOOO x 50 to £l2OO. All amounts stated are in New Zealand currency In each case the initial salary would be in accordance with the appointee’s experience and qualifications.
