Two Arrested After Chase
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, September 15. Two men in a car were arrested early today after a chase from Albany to Mount Roskill. The police were told that the Albany Post Office had been broken into about 5 a.m. Detective-Sergeant R. J. Squires, of the Takapuna police, .said the car went through Riverhead toward the city and was sighted about half an hour later speeding along Mount Albert road. The police stopped the car and arrested the occupants. Later two men appeared before Mr L. G. H. Sinclair, S.M., charged with breaking and entering the post office. The men, Dennis Pere and Eric Louie, both carpenters, aged 21, were remanded in custody to Thursday. No pleas were taken.
