Waikari. on Monday, the 22nd day of August, 1966, the following Resolution by way of a Special Order was passed and will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at the Ordinary meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers. Waikari, on Monday, the 10th day of Octo I ber, 1966. at 10 a.m. WAIPARA COUNTY RURAL WATER SUPPLY LOAN No. 2 1966 RESOLUTION “THAT in pursuance and In exercise of the powers invested in it by the Counties Act 1956, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and all amendment thereto and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf and by virtue of and in accord ance with the conditions of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board granted at a meeting of the Board held on the 9th day of August. 1966, the Council resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand a Loan to be known as the Rural Water Supply Loan No. 2 1966 for the sum of Fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) for the purpose of meeting part of the costs of constructing works to provide a piped rural water supply in the Western districts of the Waipara County and incidental expenses in connection therewith subject (inter alia) to the following determinations: (1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be thirty years. (2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate or rates exceeding five and one half per cent per annum. (3) The said loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extended over the final . twenty-nine years of the said term. (4) The payments of all such instalments shall be made in New Zealand and no such instalment shall be paid out of loan money. (5) The rate payable for brokerage fees in respect of the raising of the said loan or any part thereof shall not exceed one half per cent of any amount raised. (6) No money shall be borrowed after the expiration of three years from the date of the sanction of the Local Authorities Loans Board. (7) That steps be taken to safeguard the supply from turbid water during flood periods. (8) That Chlorination plant be installed when requested by the Medical Officer of Health, Christchurch. (9) That final plans and estimates be approved by the District Commissioner of Works, Christchurch, before tenders are called or work commences. “The Council hereby appropriates and pledges as security for the repayment of the said loan and charges thereon a special rate of decimal point one nought nine (.109) of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Waipara County.” And Notice is further hereby given that a poll of Ratepayers is required to be taken if five per cent of the Ratepayers whose names are inscribed on the ratepayers roll of the district so denland, by writing under their hands delivered or sent by post to the Waipara County Council at Waikari and received at the Office of the Council not later than the 9th day of October, 1966, being the day before the date fixed for the confirmation of the Resolution to raise the said special loan. Box 1, WAIKARI. 5177 THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT, 1953 WAIMAIRI COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 35 of the above Act, and of Regulation 32 of the Town and Country Planning Regulations, 1960, Clifford John Voice, mechanic, and Jack Alfred Simson Mackenzie, salesman, both of Christchurch, give notice that they have applied to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board for its consent to a specified departure from the provisions of the above Scheme so far as it affects the land at 81 Briggs road, being Lots 1 and 2 on Deposited Plan No. 17825, and being all the land comprised and described in Certificates of Title Volume ( 645 Folios 78 and 79. The applicants ask that such land be permitted to be used, with consent, for the operation, in the building now existing on the said land, of a Commercial Garage for running repairs to motor vehicles with a floor space of less than 1200 square feet to be used for repair work. Alterations will be carried out to the said existing building to make it suitable for the proposed use. No panel beating or spray painting will be undertaken on the site. The vehicle parking area will be landscaped. Any person or body objecting to or supporting the proposals or desiring variation of them shall submit his reasons for such objection, support or desiring to vary the proposals, to the County Clerk, Waimairi County Council, Private- Bag, Christchurch, not later than the third day of October, 1966. Any person or body so objecting to or supporting the application is entitled to be heart by the Council or by a Committee thereof constituted for the purpose. A copy of the application may be inspected during office hours at the Offices of the Waimairi County Council at the corner of Clyde road and Jeffreys road.
