Fund Held For Band’s Trip
(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Sept. 11. The Netherlands Society is holding in trust £3lBO for the next overseas trip by a New Zealand brass band. The society raised the money in a lottery in the hope that the National Band could defend its world title at Kerkrade, Netherlands, in July. The society had a target of £5OOO but tickets were withdrawn when it was announced the band would not compete.
