TIMARU SEAT
National Choice (From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, September 11. The question of nominations for the Timaru seat at the general election will be discussed by the CanterburyWestland division of the National Party at the quarterly meeting of the executive in Christchurch tomorrow. “It is out of my hands,’’ said the chairman of the Timaru electorate committee (Mr B. J. Kilgour) today. Nominations were to have closed at noon, on Saturday. The possibility of extending the closing date was discussed by the Timaru electorate committee on Friday evening, no nominations having then been received. Nor had any nominations been handed in late on Saturday morning.
