MADE LIFE MEMBERS
Wairoa Club Officials
(N.Z. Press Association) WAIROA. The retiring president of the Wairoa Racing Club (Mr H. M. B. De Lautour) and the retiring treasurer (Mr W. A. Crarer) were made honorary life members of the club at the annual meeting on Thursday.
Mr de Lautour was first elected to the committee of the club in 1947 and has been its president for the last 10 years. He has represented Wairoa on the Hawke’s Bay district committee and served on the Racing Conference. He has also sat on several courts of appeal and recently was one of three appointed to a court of inquiry into all aspects of racing. Mr Crarer served the club first in 1927 as honorary auditor.
