VACANCIES—GENERAL RESEARCH TECHNICIAN TRAINEES NEW ZEALAND FOREST SERVICE VACANCY No. 14 THE New Zealand Forest Service offers a limited number of research technician traineeships at Rotorua, some positions being suitable for girls. Minimum qualification desired is University Entrance with good pass marks in Chemistry and'or Mathematics and/or Physics. These positions are in the field and laboratory, initially providing basic assistance to scientific research officers engaged on forestry research <pulp and paper: tree breeding and growth, noxious animals: climatic: soils; timber physics and mechanics; wood preservation: statistical analysis; mensuration). There would be progress to technician and for outstanding officers, to technical officers at salaries up to £1765 p a.
