Duties will be to present a course in Accounting to students in the Faculties of Economics and Agricultural Economics. During the next few years development of a full sequence in Accounting is proposed, leading to honours year specialisation in the Faculty of Economics and to joint majors in Accounting and Farm Management within the Faculty of Agricultural Economics. Commencing salary will be determined according to qualifications and experience within the following ranges: Senior Lecturer—3A66oo x 2003A7600 per annum. Lecturer—*A4Boo x 220-3A6340 per annum. Conditions include payment of travel and removal expenses, superannuation, assistance in buying or building a home and study leave on full pay with travel grants-ln-aid. Applicants must be graduates of a recognised university and Associates of the Library Association of Australia (or hold equivalent professional qualifications). A degree in Law would be preferred. The appointee will be required to exercise immediate control over the day to day routines of the Library and to work closely with the Faculty in developing the Library as a tool for teaching and research. Salary will be within the range of 4800 x 220 to 6340 dollars per annum, and will be subject to deductions under the State Superannuation Act. Registrar. 2480 UNIVERSITY OF CANTERBURY VISCT'NG TEACHING FELLOWSHIP Applications are invited from suitably qualified Secondary School Teachers of sixth form Chemistry for the position of Visiting Teaching Fellow in the Department of Chemistry of the University of Canterbury. The appointment will be for one year and will carry an emolument of £6OO. The DirectorGeneral of Education has advised that the successful applicant may also be granted full salary during the period of the Fellowship.

The Fellow would be expected to report to the University early in February, 1967, and remain a member of the ■ University staff until the close of the school year. He would have some teaching duties with Stage I classes, and would be encouraged to associate with one of the research groups. He would be free to attend University courses by agreement with the Head of the Chemistry Department. Prospective applicants requiring further information should write to Professor J.
