Schools’ Basketball Otago’s 2nd Title
Otago G.H.S. became the first to win two South Island intersecondary schools bas'ketbadil tournaments when it beat Southland G.H.S., 34-16, in the final of the 1966 tournament yesterday. Otago won the second tournament in 1964. Southland, which was the original tibtle-holder in 1963, had earlier eliminated the 1965 champion, Waimea College (Nelson). The 1967 tournament will be held at Invercargill. Results of the semi-finals were: Otago 29, South Otago H.S. 22; Southland 27, Timaru G.H.S. 21.
