AUCKLAND, Sept. 9
Neill, Cropper Holdings, Auckland merchant, manufacturer and flour miller, will make a bid for the ordinary shares of Harnish and Jordan, Auckland manufacturer of folding doors and blinds. Neill, Cropper already owns 51 per cent of the £104,350 capital, acquired in 1961.
The terms of the offer are not disclosed in a brief announcement by Harnish and Jordan directors, which say notice of the offer has been received.
A “don’t sell” warning was given on August 26.
Harnish and Jordan recently passed the dividend after a 60.5 per cent profit drop in the year to March 31.
