AUCKLAND. Sept. 9

Twenty-one men’s watches worth £230 were stolen in a smash-and grab raid on Godart Jewellers Ltd., Vulcan Lane, Auckland, about 1 a m. today. It was the second raid of its kind this week. About £5OO worth of diamond rings was stolen from a jeweller’s in Queen's Arcade on Tuesday night. This morning thieves smashed a hole in a plateglass window and scooped the watches from shelves, ignoring a nearby tray of dress rings.

The firm was burgled in January and the police recovered most of the 21 watches stolen then.
