Southerly Change
A southerly change caused a sharp drop in temperature in Christchurch between noon and 2 p.m. yesterday and brought light showers. At Harewood at noon, the temperature reached a maximum iof 54 degrees. At 2 p.m. it was 47 degrees, and at 4 p.m. 46 degrees. At the Botanic Gardens at 3 p.m. the temperature was 49 degrees. Before the southerly change, the weather was cool, and a light north-west wind blew.
