Space Shot Postponed

(N.Z. Prese Ansn.—Copyright) CAPE KENNEDY (Florida). September 9. The flight of Gemini XI was postponed today when trouble developed in the fuel system of the Titan II booster, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration space agency announced. Everything had been proceeding smoothly toward the scheduled launch of an Atlas rocket carrying an Agena satellite and the Gemini when trouble developed during the fuelling of the Titan II rocket that carries the Gemini capsule.

The trouble was pinpointed as a leak in the tank holding the oxydiser in the first stage of the Titan.

A spokesman for the space programme said it was not known how long a postponement would be necessary, but said the flight definitely would not go today.
