Kerridge-News In Record Company

AUCKLAND, Sept. 1

The Kerridge-Odeon group and News, Ltd., Adelaide, are partners in a joint venture, Festival Records (N.Z.), Ltd., which has been registered in Auckland as a private company with a capital of £50,000.

Half the capital is held by 1 Photographic Wholesalers, 1 Ltd., a member of the Ker- i ridge-Odeon group, and the other half by Festival Records Pty., Ltd., a subsidiary of!’ News, Ltd. News, whose managingdirector is Mr R. Murdoch, acquired an interest in the Wellington Publishing Company, publisher of the “Dominion,” in a take-over bid in 1964. The objects of the new company are to produce and distribute gramophone records, to carry on business as newspaper and magazine proprietors, and to present entertainment at theatres and other places of amusement. The directors are Sir Robert Kerridge and Messrs H. L.

Parker, Murdoch, and F. C. Marks, who is the manager of Festival Records, Pty.
